About Dr David Tan

Dr David Tan graduated from the University of Leicester, the UK in 1995 and subsequently attained his post-graduate Diploma in Dermatology from the National University of Singapore. He was also the pioneer batch to achieve a board-certified Diplomate from the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, US

Dr Tan has been practising aesthetics for 10 years. He is a certified laser practitioner and has experience in the use of a wide variety of cosmetic lasers. He belongs to the pioneer group of doctors who started using the first Intense Pulsed Light(IPL) device in the late 1990s. His main area of interest is laser resurfacing of the skin and he is one of Singapore’s first few certified Fraxel laser practitioners in private practice. He focuses on dealing with difficult skin problems such as acne scars, deep pigmentation and stretch marks. He is also well-versed in advanced Botox and filler techniques.

Emphasising a holistic approach to aesthetics, Dr Tan also effectively manages weight loss, medical hair restoration and anti-ageing with hormone replacement.

He has been extensively interviewed in the media for his aesthetic expertise. Being featured on Channel News Asia’s(CNA) Prime Time on Botox safety, Mediacorp Channel 8 on the latest laser technology, FM93.8 Live Body & Soul and FM 97.2 Live Chinese entertainment radio, sharing his views and experiences on several areas in aesthetics. He has also been interviewed by The Business Times, Millionaire Asia, Income’s Lifestyle magazine, Men’s Folio, Beauty Cosmedica and Fiori(Indonesia).

Dr Tan has conducted several medical workshops overseas for doctors, for example in Vietnam and Indonesia, teaching and sharing his experiences on the latest Fraxel laser technology and other advanced applications on facial aesthetics.

Keeping current in the field of aesthetics, Dr Tan regularly attends overseas conferences & meetings in USA and Asia and meets up with Dermatologists from around the world to discuss and share their experiences.
