Who Is Dr Ng Jing Yu

Dr Ng Jing Yu is a Senior Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon with over 17 years of clinical experience. He is known for his warm and approachable nature, managing a full range of colorectal and general surgical conditions, including hernias, gallbladder disease, and piles. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and has held significant leadership and teaching roles within the public healthcare sector before entering private practice.

Prior to his current practice, Dr Ng served as a Senior Consultant and Assistant Professor in the Division of Colorectal Surgery at the National University Hospital (NUH). He was the Associate Program Director of the General Surgery Residency and led the Colorectal Fellowship Programme at NUH. In 2020, he was awarded the prestigious Ministry of Health HMDP fellowship to train at the Koo Foundation Sun Yat-Sen Cancer Center in Taiwan, focusing on advanced robotic and transanal techniques. He continues to serve as a Visiting Consultant at NUH and is an executive committee member of the Singapore Colorectal Society.
