CME Course Webinar On Innovation And Digital Tech In Patient-Centered Care

The Primary Care Asia series will be kicking off their third webinar this May 25 titled Optimizing Patient-Centered Care with Telehealth and Digital Innovation. The webinar will start 19:00 and will conclude at 20:30 (both Singapore times). Click to navigate over to the MIMS website to register for the webinar.

Jointly organized by the Philippine Academy of Family Physicians (PAFP), the Malaysian Family Medicine Specialists’ Association (MFMSA), the Hong Kong Doctors Union (HKDU), and MIMS Education, the activity will focus on the role of telemedicine and telehealth in improving primary care.

This CME course is also in line with the theme for this year’s World Family Doctor Day (May 19) titled ‘The Heart of Healthcare’, organizers said.

Telemedicine is the use of telecommunications technology to provide healthcare services at a distance. Meanwhile, telehealth is a broader term that includes telemedicine as well as other forms of digital health, such as electronic health records (EHRs) and patient portals.

The webinar will feature two resource speakers:

  • Dr. Pramendra Prasad Gupta, Associate Professor, Department of General Practice and Emergency Medicine, B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan, Nepal
  • Dr. Ana Luisa Neves, Advanced Research Fellow & Associate Director, NIHR Patient Safety Translational Research Centre, Imperial College London, London, UK

According to organizers, Dr. Gupta and Dr. Neves will be discussing the latest trends, opportunities, and challenges in telehealth and telemedicine. “They will also be sharing practical insights on leveraging technology to enhance patient outcomes, increase access to care, and improve clinical workflows,” they added.

Primary Care Asia has already opened pre-registration on April 14, and will close by 16:00 on May 25.

Participating doctors from Malaysia can gain 1CPD. This webinar is pending CME/CPD accreditation in Singapore, Hong Kong and Philippines.
