Get To Know Dr Kevin Koo

Dr Kevin Koo is a fellowship-trained Senior Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at The Bone & Joint Centre and previous Director of Foot and Ankle Service at the Singapore General Hospital with more than 20 years of experience. He is an Adjunct Assistant Professor with both NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine as well as Duke-NUS Medical School.

Dr Kevin Koo completed his medical training with the Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2003. He was appointed as Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK, in 2009 and subsequently as Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK (Orthopaedics and Trauma) in 2014. He also obtained his Master of Medicine (Orthopaedic Surgery) from the National University of Singapore in 2013 and was appointed Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in 2015.

Dr Koo did a one-year fellowship under the Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) Award at St. Mary’s and Charing Cross Hospitals, Imperial College Healthcare in London, UK, where he worked with internationally recognised surgeons and participated actively in the management of elite athletes and professional dancers.

Dr Kevin Koo has presented extensively at international, regional as well as local conferences including the prestigious American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) as well as the British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH) Annual Scientific Meetings. He has also published in various peer-reviewed medical journals, and is actively involved in the training of junior doctors.
