Information Regarding The Process For Gangnam K-Beauty Plastic Surgery

Different surgeons and clinics in Seoul may have slightly deferring processes. The following information references getting K-beauty treatments with our Preferred Doctor in Korea, Dr Jeongho Cha from Mina Plastic Surgery (located in Gangnam) as an example.

1. Advance Consultation and Booking

It is advisable to schedule a consultation with Dr Cha in advance. As Dr. Cha prioritises quality care and limits daily caseloads, early booking ensures availability for your desired surgery date. Patients have the option for both online and in-person consultations with Dr Cha.

2. Payment Arrangements

Mina Plastic Surgery accepts major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX and others) and cash payments in any currency. Ensure your credit card allows overseas transactions for smooth payment processing.

3. Required Medical Reports

If you are suffering from any illness or taking any regular medications (for example, insulin, anticoagulants/antiplatelets etc), it is advisable to inform the clinic as early as possible, or at least 2 weeks before the surgery. This will allow Mina Plastic Surgery to provide you with appropriate instruction for the preparation of surgery.

4. Preoperative Clinic Visit

There is no additional clinic visit required before the operation once the consultation with Dr Cha (as mentioned in Step 1) has been completed.

5. Number Of Sessions For Surgeries That May Be Required

Most aesthetic procedures (such as upper and lower blepharoplasty, face lift, neck lift, fat grafting, etc.) can typically be completed in a single session. However, some cases may require multiple sessions, which will be discussed during the consultation.

6. Surgery Venue

All surgeries take place in Mina Plastic Surgery’s operating room within the clinic premises, ensuring a safe and sterile environment for procedures.

7. Postoperative Recovery

Recovery periods vary for each patient. Once the surgery is completed, the patient will be transferred to a recovery room accompanied by a nurse. Patients will then be carefully monitored and when deemed safe, will be allowed to mobilise.

If a patient can move about with no issues, the patient will be discharged afterwards.

8. Hotel Stay and Recovery Period

Each type of surgery requires a different recovery period and may vary between 1-2 weeks. Patients may do light activities from the day after the surgery, and they are recommended to participate in light activities including walking as it helps with de-puffing/swelling and faster recovery.

9. Post-Op Follow-Up Visits

Post-operative follow-up visits are scheduled based on the specific procedure and individual recovery progress.

10. Flight Safety After Surgery

Patients typically can safely take flights on the same day as the operation.
